28 Weeks

How far along? 28Weeks (7 months!!!)
Baby Movement: Yes.  I think I even felt Jake having the hiccups.
Sleep: Still pretty good, but waking up a little more in the middle of the night.  Also, two nights this week I woke up with leg cramps ~ ouch!  I try to be quiet so I don't wake up Brian.  One night, I stood at the edge of the bed to stretch my leg.  Brian got up to use the restroom and didn't even notice me standing there!
I loved... Going to the specialist on Friday!  Love those appointments because they spend so much time with us and we get to see our baby a lot.  So cool!  (Jake has his hand up by his face.)

Some highlights from the week... Thursday: we went to the Braves game and they won!  Exciting to see Chipper Jones in one of his last regular season games.  We had two extra tickets, so we found two ladies in line waiting to buy tickets and just gave them our extras for free.  They were so appreciative.  It made me feel good.

Friday: Brian and I stayed in and watched the movie "What to Expect When Expecting".  There were parts that were pretty funny, but mostly it made Brian appreciate that he is married to me and I have had a great pregnancy so far!  Saturday:  Went to the UGA vs. Tennessee game with Brian and his brother, Brandon, and friend Kyle.  UGA won!

Sunday: We went to the Falcons game with Brandon, Lindsay, and Kylie.  We can't wait to take our little guy to a game next year!

And the Falcons won in the last few seconds ~ a very exciting game!!!

Monday: back to work for me and it rained over 3 inches so I skipped library and just stayed home.  Tuesday: I went to the Brookwood High School chorus concert to support two girls from the Freshmen girls group I work with.  Wednesday:  A fun night at church with the girls after being stuck in traffic on the way home.  It took almost two hours to get home because of an accident.  I try to remember my mom always saying not to complain about traffic because of a wreck because their day is much worse than yours.
How have I been feeling... Feeling good!
Food cravings: Still bagels, but I am loving pumpkin spice cream cheese!!!  Delicious!
Looking forward to: A fun, relaxing weekend.  Going to the lake Friday night and Saturday then coming home for church on Sunday.  I'm sure there will be some football games on as well.
Doctor Stuff:  Found out I passed the second glucose test, so that was great news.  A funny moment at the specialist's office though was when the girl was doing the ultrasound she asked if we had found out the gender yet, and we said yes it's a boy.  Her response was, "Who told you that?"  Brian and I instantly had a look of confusion and panic!  She realized quickly and told us it was definitely a boy she had just wanted to know if it was her that had told us that because she likes to know when she is right.  She then confirmed for us on the 4D ultrasound that we are indeed having a little boy!

  1. Hi Kristin:

I know it's been a long time since I was pregnant but when I had a single leg cramp when expecting Justin, the doctor told me to have extra iron and calcium. His suggestion was to have tomatoes cooked in a cast iron pan but I don't eat tomatoes so....I did use the cast iron fry pan though and never had a 2nd cramp. It hurt so badly, I never wanted to have another one!

    Just a thought....

    Blessings,

    Kim
